MALPENSA MILAN AIRPORT
Malpensa airport is the main international airport in Milan. It lies at
about 40 kilometres from Milan city centre. It has recently undergone
huge renovation works and a considerable process of enlargement making
it one of the most modern hubs in Europe. It consists of two different
terminals linked by a shuttle bus. Thus upon arrival and departure check

REACHING MILAN CITY CENTER
The centre of Milan is about 50 kilometers far from Malpensa airport.
Between the two Terminals of Malpensa, a free shuttle bus is available
every 20 minutes about for twenty-four hours a day. Milan can be reached
by car, by train or by bus.
1) By Taxi: Taxis are available at the Arrivals of Terminal 1 and
Terminal 2. The fee to the centre of Milan is about € 70. Taxi service
is always available day and night at taxi ranks just outside the exits
of the airport. Besides it is for sure the fastest way to move around
the city as taxis may drive on reserved lanes. The fare includes a fix
rate of €2,58 plus 0.65 € for each kilometre or €20,66 for each hour.
Night service implies an additional fee of €3,10.
2) By Car: Agencies providing car rental services are available inside
the airport. To go downtown by car, take the State Road SS 336 till Busto Arsizio. Then take the motorway A8 (Autostrada A8 Laghi) till

Milano Trains) is a new railway link connecting Malpensa airport with
Milan Cadorna railway station, which is just a few underground stops

Malpensa directly with the centre of Milan (Cadorna Railway Station -
connection with the Tube red and green lines). Trains also stop at Busto
Arsizio, Saronno and Milano Bovisa. Trains depart every 30 minutes and
the journey from the Terminal 1 of Malpensa to Cadorna Station lasts

CONNECTING MILAN AIRPORTS, REACHING LINATE
Linate is approximately 40 kilometres distant from Malpensa airport.
Here are some suggestions on how to transfer from one airport to the
other and to reach Linate conveniently:
1) By Car: take Motorway A8 - A9 then follow Tangenziale est (bypass
east) towards Venice. You will reach Linate airport in 45 minutes
approximately.
2) By Malpensa Shuttle: this bus runs all day long every 30 minutes. The
transfer to Malpensa lasts slightly over one hour.
3) By Taxi: this is undoubtedly the most comfortable means although it
may be more expensive.
